You might have seen it by now but we launched “The Nutmeg” with them last week. If you haven’t checked it out, you definitely should.

Today will be a quick 5-minute read.

Let’s get after it.

Watch Out - The Germans Are Here

During the recent international break, one thing was clear.

Germany is BACK and they mean business.

After defeating France and the Netherlands convincingly, this German team is one of our favorites going into the Euros next summer.

Just how did they make such a big turnaround? It comes down to three things.

1. Form Over Experience

Since he became the German manager, Naglesman made one thing clear.

He will choose players who are currently playing well for their clubs.

For some, this is controversial.

It means the German squad consisted of 3 Stuttgart players instead of the likes of Reus, Sule, Can, and Adeyemi from Dortmund.

A bold move from someone who is still considered a young manager.

His philosophy explains why he approached Toni Kroos to come back to the team as Kroos has been playing amazing football at Madrid this season.

The message is clear, no favorites, if you want to play for Germany, perform for your club.

2. Technical Brilliance

One thing that stood out about the German performance was the high level of technical brilliance.

Most of which can be chalked up to one player. Toni Kroos.

I know we have mentioned him already, but Kroos oozes class.

He provided an assist for Florian Wirtz just 8 seconds into the game against France.

If you managed to see Germany with and without Kroos, you would see how much more control of the game they have with him on the pitch.

Not a flashy player, but extremely effective.

3. Youthful Flair

Germany has never been short of youth talent, but this next crop of players is extremely exciting.

Musiala continues to show that he belongs on this stage, playing with the best players in the world.

As for Wirtz, he is lighting it up at Leverkusen and is also now delivering for the national team.

These two don’t need more time to develop. They are ready now.

Their injection of youthful flair has helped raise this German team to a level where they will be confident they can break down any defense.

Love them or hate them.

The Germans are back…and they mean business.

The Bernabeu Gets an Upgrade

Madrid is working on some crazy things.

On top of finishing the installation of the new 360° jumbotron, their field is getting an…

Upgrade?

The grass is full retractable and has a state-of-the-art grow-house underneath the field.

When the field isn’t in use, it’ll be taken care of underneath the surface.

With the precious Real grass out of the way, the stadium can be used for other things as well.

Ball Boys Are Canceled

Being the home team is an advantage when the kids tossing balls to the players are supporters.

The Premier League has set in place a new rule that ball kids can no longer throw balls to the players.

Instead, the players must grab balls themselves off of cones that will be spread around the pitch.

Understandable for fairness, but a little disheartening for the spirit of the match.

No more moments like this.
